Missoula Food Bank is a private, non-profit organization that addresses hunger in Missoula County by offering emergency food assistance to all individuals and families who come to us in need. We have been carrying out this model of service since 1982. (Want more History?)

We take tremendous pride in the diverse network of support that keeps our clients fed and our organization healthy. To assist our staff members, we are sustained by a wonderful variety of donors and volunteers who selflessly support our programs through monetary gifts, food donations, and volunteer time.

Almost 900,000 pounds of food is donated to Missoula Food Bank each year. This remarkable show of support helps us feed approximately 5,000 clients each month, with almost 50,000 in 2009 alone.

Our Mission:

Missoula Food Bank Distributes emergency food supplies to individuals and families and strives to reduce the incidence of hunger through a community of volunteers and resources.

Our outreach programs that supplement our grocery store services include Food Circle (our food rescue program), Kids Table (our summer food distribution focused on children in low income families), and ROOTS (our home delivery program primarily targeting homebound seniors).

In an effort to make food more conveniently accessible to clients in the greater Missoula area, Missoula Food Bank has established two satellite locations: Lolo and Potomac. These facilities are affiliates of Missoula Food Bank but do have their own food distribution schedule.
